Ok ive been wondering about G2 Megatron, did Galvatron get turned back into Megatron or something? and how? or is he just a completley different robot with the name Megatron?

G1 Megs got turned into this tank mode thanks to Cobra, you'll have to read GI Joe Snake Eyes 138-141 for this

in the comic, Megs didnt turn into Galvatron in the timeline that was followed, and at theend of G1 comic, Galvy and Megs faced each other eye to eye (Galvy was pulled out of 'a' continuity where he ruled over the earth)

I think of it as a semi-alternate universe. Hasbro just wanted to rerelease the Transformers, but couldn't put out the original Megatron because of the toys-that-look-like-guns law. So they made him into a tank. Of course, I've never read the G2 comics, so perhaps someone else here has some knowledge of that back story...

G2 comics proceed the Marvel G1 story, where Megatron never became Galvatron from Unicron, Uni pulled in a Galvatron from an alternate reality as the G1 Megs was MIA at the time.

oh... ok I get it now thanks for the info

and thats what I just said...

ha ha yeah dude just didnt feel like responding to both of them I got yours too

In Japan a Unicron like being called Dark Nova Revived Galvatron and reformatted him into Super Magatron who was defeated by the Battlestars.

Star Nova upgraded him to Ultra Megatron who was again defeated by the Battlestars (this time in Base Mode).

For the big finale Star Nova Merged with Ultra Megatron to make Star Giant who was defeated

After that Megatron reformed and was allied with Convoy. But as we all know war is in Megatron's blood so he rebelled and fought the good fight in G2.

hm.. interesting

BTW Dark Nova TF's from a giant face to robot. Supermegareon turns into a Jet/spacegun, and Ultra Megatron turns into a tank.
