I think the movie should start like the original series on cybertron with the same fated crash on Earth. After that, whatever. But it must be G1 characters in the 80's and the whole mood has to be dark like the first Batman movie not bright and colourful like Hulk. Decepticons should be evil and on the edge of victory throughout the entire movie.

The Cons should be treated like Magneto, Kilingons or evan the Hulk. In the fact that they arn't realy evil just misuderstood.

I can see your point about the Decepticons, but that will not work in a movie. Megatron is who he is because he is compassionless and cruel. And his minions like Starscream and Soundwave inhabit the moral sewers of their society. The Decepticon army is what it is because the WORST of the WORST have banded together, and they have no regard for whom they have to hurt to get what they want. Earth would by no means be any different to them. In life, you have absolutely evil monsters like Hitler, Idi Amin,Stalin and more recent ones like Saddam Hussein, Kim-what's his name in Korth Korea and Osama Bin Laden. Megatron is on a level of evil that rivals, if not surpasses these 'individuals', and his cronies aren't any better.

 

On that note, the entire Transformers war on earth could be compared to the war in Iraq, if you will. The Decepticons are here, and the Autobots can either: a) not do anything about it and let the Decepticons ruin the earth and destroy human civilization, or b), Go in, take them on, and in the process do more damage to our society in trying to stop them. Either way, the Autobots would be screwed, and that is how it was in marvel's comics: they were despised nby the human race.

 

But even without that comparison, the Decepticons are NOT misunderstood. Their very name says what they represent, and they aren't just different. If that was the case, the Autobots would have made peace with them a long time ago, and a treaty would have been reached. The Decepticons want nothing less than total warfare, and to depict them as even slightly remorsefull or somehow redeemable just isn't going to work for the story.

then there are the times they blew other planets up like the planet that galv sent crazy

 

ok the autobots did wast sand storms home but it was for the greater good

 

the decepticons are evil some more then others megs being worst blitz wing and octaine being the least evil

cons are evil and they revel in it. especially megs.

and chicken standoff between starscream and sideswipe or sunstreaker.. or both would be awesome. ss low on land coming at them lasers firing.... mmmm nice.

 

needs to be less like typical blockbuster like independence day et al, and be its own movie, what makes transformers stand out is the autobots and cons, if they can't get the characters right, then adding to much human interaction shows they haven't put enough effort in.

 

but i have faith in the team so far!

In short, nobody is going to accept these beings readilly, regardless of faction. So the movie should reflect this, and common sense should be the approach to this movie. Then you'll have a blockbuster.

 

(if that doesn't work, just show some hot girls, lots of special effects, and big-name stars. Hey, it worked for most of Hollywood's flops!!)

Hey, I'm thinking that the whole movie should be fought on CYBERTRON. On Cybertron there are soooo many twists and turns on the planet on a whole than involving humans in it can create. Part two should involve other races of sentient life...maybe even humans. I do know that havings humans involved in the story would just get in the way.

 

...however if you do involve Humans in this time line, I really would looooooooove the AUTOBOTS to have alternate forms and attitudes that rival the FAST AND THE FURIOUS. Can you imagine SIDESWIPE or HOTSHOT as a SOOOOUUUUPED up Nissan SKYLINE? Or seeing that hot little pink Honda S-2000 as ARCEE with an attitude? Or maybe another Femmbot. I myself would love to see a highspeed chase and scramble with Lancer EVO's and all types of cars like this...WITH NITRO!!

 

As far as DECEPTICONS...Big Beautiful FIGHTERJETS...you hear that Mr. Hasbro and Takara San?? I'm still waiting for my Binaltech/Altenators JETS!!!!!!!

Don't rule out Maximals and Predicons as a war on Earth would need as many ways of disguise as possible if there are humans in it.

 

I am however all for the story taking place in the future. Maybe even in this solarsystem, but on places like Europa or IO. Maybe even on a planet as volitile like Jupiter or Venus. Close enought to be at out back door but right under our noses. Good enough for Sequels and planet hopping. :tftongue
