Blot (And a question about Abominus)

Recommended Posts

For some reason, this guy was always one of my favorites. He always seemed alot bulkier than the others. Enjoy.

By the way, this one only took about 4 hours.

He transforms a little differently from his toy counterpart. Same as the others I've done. I like to be able to keep the weapons in both modes.

very cool!

So, I'm currently working on Sinnertwin, then Cutthroat. As I build them, I'm also putting them together as Abominus. Here's a question: I always remembered Blot as being the right arm, and Cutthroat being the right leg, and I think that's how it was in the instructions. But in the Dreamwave universe They have those two reversed. Does anybody who has or had Abominus remember it differently than me?

i think ripper snapper and blot were the arms with ripper snapper becoming his left arm blot his right sinnertwin was his right leg and cut throat his left

They were scramble city, so they could go anywhere, though that was never really touched on in the show or comics as much. But I can say from a toy perspective Blot looks better as an arm.

See, that's how I always remembered it, but then yesterday I was flipping through the Dreamwave Universe and they drew it with Blot and Cutthroat reversed. That was a real WTF? moment. Alright, that's a second person who remembers it my way. I'm sticking with the original.

Damn you, Dreamwave, and your renegade ideals! Someday you'll... What? Thay're closed? Really? Oh. Huh. Um... Nevermind.

It's not Dreamwave idea, it's from the cartoon. In the Scramble city cartoon (They did touch upon it in the 'toon.) the 1986 combiners had a big fight. The limbs flew from place to place and the was even one point where one of the stunticons combined with Superion to disable him. (Correct me if I'm wrong about who coombined with who.) So scramble city style combiners are meant to be interchangeable, even in the toons. If you haven't seen the episode, do so. It's really nice one if you like combiner action.
