You don't lose money over shipping or Paypal fees if you charge for them.

Shipping is fine but you cannot charge people extra because of the Paypal fee. It is against the Paypal agreement, the credit card agreement and Ebay's policies. This rule comes from the credit card companies themselves, and is legally defined as fraud. If you get caught doing it, and the other person is a dick about it, you could get in big trouble.

Ah, most sellers just the tack the fees onto the total shipping cost. Has anyone actually dealt with a seller who charged *exact* shipping?

Havent dealt with anyone yet who charged "exact" shipping cost yet...although i could see it as a way for the potential buyer to save money(depending on where they live).

Also Wheeljackslab offered me 2300 for my collection....BUT there was a catch to it and here is what he said:

Hi:

As long as I get one picture of everything together I would prepay 80% via paypal and it needs to ship the following day with tracking (thus you tell me when to pay), on receipt I pay remainder 20% via paypal or money order your choice in case of any fakes, reissues, not complete, not c9 etc. I also need to know that they are all complete to your knowledge or not.

Or You ship and I pay 100% on receipt via paypal or money order - your choice.

Thank you if you need anything else feel free to ask, wheeljackslab.

To me it would be easy for him to weasal out of the remaing money by saying they werent all C9 or better when i know they are and in the list i gave him i told him there was only 2 reissues(Optimus and Megatron). And In the list it also notes any that are missing parts. Granted i dont mind taking the pictures, though itd have to be like 6 of them so he could see it all. But i DO take care of my stuff and the stay in a cool dust free no sunlight area. So did i make the right choice by not accepting his offer or should i post them on ebay if deal falls through and then hope i get as much that way?

I would think about the eBay route just based on the idea that a bidding war could get you more than expected.

That wasn't the worst offer on Earth but it's hard when it's (mostly) based on honour. eBay does offer some security. Some.

but that's just some food for thought, not gospel.

I think you did the right thing by rejecting his offer.

If you look at the feedback of his on other boards, it's not all that great.

A lot of people have had problems with him in the past.

It's happened to me, and it's total bliss, especially within the UK where most Deluxe TFs ship for £2, to meet a righteous seller. (BTW, Bomblerod is one of them.) I do charge actual shipping cost only, and I expect the same from my sellers. When they don't want to change the price, I demand good shipping quality.

As for Wheeljackslab, a friend who's less Outback retentive than me found that the c8.5 TFs he bought from him were actually c6... :tdown

wow, I've never had trouble with WJ's lab but then you have to remember the guy is trying to run a business too. He's going want to purchase for less and sell for more.

Yeah there have been times where i bought stuff off of him that have been less than spectacular but times to where it looked liked the item was brand new....like the Soundwave that is my collection.

Another question..how do i set my paypal preferances to where itll accept payments from over seas? I reset my preferances to accpt money form overseas and convert into local currency...was that correct thing to do or do i need to do something else?

Updated-No Longer On Hold...but only due to Paypal being retarded...so Bumblerod told me to keep the offers going again. So feel free to offer again if you want...Also in process of taking pics(hope they turn out ok) and probally be posting on Ebay tonight or tomorrow, depending on if can get everything done by midnight my time
