Worth Buying?

Recommended Posts

Everytime i head to the toy department i am always tempted in to buy Landmine and or Scorpinok. Both go for 20 -30 bucks. I'd like to have them added to my collection but I just want to collect the ones that are good. Like are they poseable? Does it take less than 10 seconds to transform 'em from one mode to the other? Pros and Cons? Cuz when i got Energon Galvatron he looked pretty kool, but you couldn't really pose him which sucks.

Landmine - hell yeah! Great alt-mode, great robot modes, full poseability, an involving (but not difficult), original transformation, great gimmicks.

Scorponok - a bit more reserved on him. He looks great in all three modes. Very imposing in both Scorpion and 'bot modes, and while his hoverjet mode is the weakest of the three, it still serves its purpose quite nicely. There's an annoying problem with him, though, in how his arms are articulated. If you want him to raise them forward, the only way he can is if you rotate his arms as if he were uppercutting. Otherwise, they're stuck at his sides.

I say, get them both. Landmine and Scorponok's transformation are very fun to play with and the difficulty of transformation falls somewhere to medium level. Scorponok is the best triple changer I've seen that actually looks good in all the official shapes and the plane mode is truly intimidating. The minus point is the colours perhaps, and that your fingers will suffer crushing when transforming Scorpy. His joints are solid. One way to bypass the colour point is to get the Takara version. :thumb

As for Landmine, I don't really know where to fault him, except for his strange shoes and that he is an Autobot. Landmine is definitely more fun than Scorponok, so get it out of the kids' way. :redface

Tell me you didnt ask that, didnt you?

Thats a no brainer.

GO GET EM BOTH. ENNUF SAID.

I have both, and I prefer Landmine over Scorpy.

The vehicle mode is one of the best I have seen, the Robot mode is super poseable, and the Brute mode is just fun as hell.

Landmine is fantastic. He's my favorite energon fig so far. Great articulation, fun transformation, and the brute mode adds to the fig rather than compromise it in any way. I like scorponok too, but if you could only get 1, get Landmine.

I bought landmine (much to everyone here prodding me to do so) but skipped out on Scorpinok.... Land Mine RUlz J00 though

go for it d ude there both awsome figures

Landmine is rather nice, but I don't like scorpys colors... might have to wait on that one for a sale for me.
