I just dont understand why people like Snowcat so much. I mean, his altmode and transformation are almost exactly the same as Inferno, only he doesn't look as good and he can't combine. Someone please clarify why an awkward GI-Joe reference is getting the kudos it is.

I personally think its the worste toy there is in energon and thats why you see so many of unbought toys of him in stores. Hell I went to TRU last week and there where just as many of him as their where smokescreens so my guess is that he is the toy that nobody likes.

oh one more thing that really pisses me off is, Energon is suppost to be going for Hommage right? Why not make Powerglideing Cyclonus actually based of Cyclonus!? I mean dude they totally ruined the character! In my personal Opinion Cyclonus was one the coolest characters of G1 and to turn him into this piece of Blot design is a discrace to his name.

He's not G1 Cyclonus, and his upgraded name isn't even Cyclonus, so in no way can he disgrace the name...

 

 

I like Snowcat's toy a lot. Sure, it has its weaknesses (namely his slight floppiness in vehicle mode because his hips don't lock into position), but he makes up for it with good poseability, a unique sculpt, a unique Alt-mode (for TFs, that is), and original gimmicks. I actually like him better than say, Starscream, because he is fairly original in this universe, instead of living in the shadow of a better-executed toy (like G2 Smokescreen > E-Starscream in most ways, like a sleeker alt-mode, better articulation ranges, no hindered articulation, etc).

 

And I must live in a weird area or something, none of Energon warms the shelves much more than anybody else. Sure, Snowcat sticks around a bit longer than everybody else, but the pegs are almost always down to maybe one of him, along with a Prowl and maybe a Rodimus. He doesn't line the shelves in droves.

right... when i went toy shopping that day I went to two different TRU's both had atleast 20 of him and barley anyone else, not sure but I think that says something. im not going to lie I bought one thinking " hey maybe its one of those toys that actually looks cool out of the box" but I was highly disapointed.

I like him a lot too. Unique in his own way with a pretty funny hyper-mode, all he really needs is poles.

 

I don't think something warming the shelves in your one area means that no one likes him. Just like him being sold out in mine means that people really like him a lot. That's just too general.

Personally, I was on the fence when I saw the pics on the 'net, and amazed when I got him out of the package.

 

If he does anything cool in the show, then I'm sure you'll see him fly off the shelves. I'm sure at this point there's a lot of kids not getting him because they don't know who the hell he is.

I really like him. He's got a great alt mode and robot mode. I like the deatils in his modes. Um, sure he has his problems, but does each toy ever released. It all depends on whether or not you like it. No toy is perfect, not even MP-1.

WEll, he is the first Transformer with an alternate mode designed for snow. That's a good point to get him. Energon #25 will feature Snowcat VS the Omnicons and Hot Shot. Im curious to see how they will portray him. If he becomes a bad@ss you can bet hewill fly off the shelves, but what if DW kills the character with a lame performance?

He rocks! His only bad point is the stupid minicon peg on his arm lame panel thing. He is very articulated and he is just plain cool!
