Several new images of an Energon Arcee repaint named Nightracer, a Decepticon, appeared in our inbox this morning. This figure seems to be on card ready for release, with new card art to boot. Could this be an exclusive of some sort? Only time will tell, but this is definitly the fastest that a mold has shown up in Universe. Read on for images of this mystery.

I say it is an elaborate photoshop. While I like the repaint (that should send up alarms right there...) it doesn't seem real.

One, Universe has no basics, they are always released with an old mega sized figure.

Two, the insert catalog (resized to make it seem bigger, hence in scale with Arcee) isn't inside the bubble (and doesn't look like the blister was sealed over the catalog either).

Three, the art shown is not DW art normally used by Hasbro in all its products, it is a recolor of the CGI image used on Ariel's card in Japan.

This says fake all over it.

four: the colors are based on one of the OTFCC fembots

She looks pretty nice, fake or not…..better than Arcee (IMO). :thumb

Looks like crap. The repaint is bad and as someone already pointed out, stop with the repaints already Hasbro, give us something new that is NOT a bloody repaint! :tdown

give us something new that is NOT a bloody repaint! :tdown

But isn't that what the Universe line is all about?

Yeah, complain about the number of repaints in a repaint line :roll.

I cry foul, too. The Superlink art is a dead giveaway.

I like it better than arcee too...

Also notice the poster that was previously included with Universe Inferno and Ratchet, and the poster would have had to been shrunk to fit on an Arcee sized card, and I can't see them doing that for ANY reason.

I want one!! :(
