Those who rose up against the decepticons were called autobots. Up until the Decepticon revolt, everyone was called CYBERTRONIANS. The decepticons struck THE FIRST BLOW.

thats the comics. The comic decepticons were Bad but not the toon 1s.

The toon ones struck fist as well, almost killing orion pax and aria.

:usa The Decepticons represent everything that is evil about society. Corrupt, self serving, backstabbing, cheating, lying, power hungry, ect. Thats enough reason for me to hate the Decepticons. Thank god we have Optimus and the Autobots to kick there hind ends!

I'm personally an Autobot :D But I can easily see the allure of the dark side. In fact, I think I'd date a Decepticon! It's nice to see that the fandom is pretty much half and half though, unlike the toys.
