G1 - Best Animated Regular Season Ep?

Recommended Posts

There were a few Season 2 episodes that were done by the crappy animation company that did a lot of episodes for Season 3. Episodes like "City of Steel" and "The Core" were pretty awful. Madhammer you said something about that animation company that did those. Do you have any info. on that company?

Yes, I do. After careful research, I have determined that they are T3H SUXX0RZ!!!!

And Nevermore, didn't you notice that Starscream's chest looks a bit more yellow than normal in that picture? Almost as if they forgot to color it white and colored it all the same as the canopy.....

I realize that Transformers the movie has animation mistakes but it shouldn't even be a part of this conversation because A). It was a movie and B). We are discussing G1 Episodes from the first 4 seasons. Movies, video games, comics, etc should be left out of the discussion.

I always thought "Face of the Nijika" always had very good animation, plus it's the only episode where you see Rodimus transform first into his Hot Rod car form, and then the trailer rolls up and attaches to form the super-camper. And the animators did a good job blending between the soft curved lines of the organics and hard lines of the Transformers.

And we can't forget everyone's favorite episode.... KREMZEEK!!! :krem Nothing quite like seeing all the autobots spaz out in oddball fashion :tfgrin

I never noticed the flying Ironhide and Shockwave in the Autobot City assault before... lol. But I thought the fishing scene was done very well getting the reflection in the water.

Except that the reflection is the totally wrong angle... unlike the water surface is like tilted 30 degrees. ;)

Try it youself with a mirror on the floor and you'll see what I mean.

Honestly, who really cares about Starscream's canopy being "a bit more yellow" than normal? No offence, Madhammer, but I can't see many considering that a big thing.

I have all of season 3 on DVD, and the animation's brutal in a lot of the episodes. Call Of The Primitives is pretty solid, but my fave right now is "Webworld", where Cyclonus tricks Galvatron into going to a planet for head cases.

I cant remember its name but the first episode in season2part2(volume4) where Beachcomber found the gold liquid that made everyone invincible had really good shiny effects although the animals looked a wee bit acidic!

I remember seeing a glitch in an episode in series 2 were Starscream's eyes were blue for about half the episode. If you ask me they look better that way.

S according to these pictures Shockwave isnt as lazy as I thought and fought in the battle of Autobot City, Earth and Ironhide survived being killed by Megatron... wow!

Oh sure, TF:TM is nothing at all like Season 3, esp. Five Faces of Darkness. Just saying that it's not flawless is all. But I'm willing to admit that I'm a bit more anal-retentive than I should be.

I almost forgot about that one. I don't know why, as I particularly enjoyed it. :tfgrin
