they are the same toy, but here in the US they decided to call Ginrai Powermaster Optimus Prime. Ginrai is from Masterforce, he is not Optimus Prime. Yeah, I know, both Optimus and Ginrai are red semis with similar robot modes, but I'm just telling you how it is over in Japan.

Powermaster Prime came first, and was later modified by Takara into the God Ginrai toy.

Archon, Ginrai come first. Same for Minerva, who Hasbro modified into Nightbeat.

I'm pretty certain that the US Powermasters came first...
