Hmm, I can't believe no one posted this earlier, but my last topic got deleted from News and Rumors, so maybe someone did already.

Bumblebee's Radio Voice is... Weird Al Yankovic?

by IGN Staff

March 31, 2007 - Voice casting news on the Transformers movie keeps getting hotter - along with the stories that Hugo Weaving will voice Megatron and Keith David will voice Barricade, Ain't It Cool News is reporting (and IGN has confirmed) that Bumblebee, who talks through his car radio, is going to be voiced by none other than... Weird Al Yankovic?

That's right, perpetual parody purveyor and polka-laden alpha geek Weird Al Yankovic (Straight Outta Lynwood, Dare To Be Stupid) has been called in to spice up Bumblebee's musical repartee for maximum comedy - and maybe to add some other television spoof dialogue as well? Bumblebee's automobile form will be a classic Chevrolet Camaro.

We here at IGN couldn't be more excited about this news, and can't wait to hear what he does with the role. Check back for even more Transformers movie news, and don't forget to watch the IGN Exclusive Transformers TV spots!

I wonder if they mention Dare To Be Stupid because of the Ultimate Bumblebee toy playing Devo? That'd be pretty funny.

Most likely, it was deleted from News And Rumors because:

1.) It's not news.

2.) It's an April Fools Joke.

3.) It's a combination of the two.

4.) It has no way to be verified.

Nice try though.

plus Bumblebee will more orless not talk in the film, this was confirmed through the recent prequel comics.

And the recently released novle "Ghosts of Yesterday". In the novel, he communicates in three ways. A binary electronic hum. A digital signal which comes across the screen as written words. And gestures.

His vocalization module was ripped out by Megatron at the battle of Tyger Pax.

As awsome as this would be, I doubt it's true.

I think so, too. Nice try, indeed.

:lol I saw this yesterday...too lazy to post it though

Not that I have a huge problem with it, but I'm sure some might...

*dares to be stupid*

Thankyou Jebus it's April first.

This is almost enough to give an anerysm.

If that's true Bumblebee is in danger of becoming an extremely annoying character. Buzzing and gestures. For f*cks sake.

It's not true.

It's not true.

You're a clever one.
