How do you tell if the US energon prime has a faceplate or a mouth by looking at the package? Pleasse help

There's a serial number embossed on to the back of the package in the versions with a faceplate. Unfortunately, this is the only way to be sure, as the faceplate version is also randomly packed into some others. Not sure if the serial number is always the same.

Honestly by now, as long as the store you go to has good turnaround, I would think any Prime you pick up would have the faceplate. You can check by carefully opening the side, pulling out the cardboard insert just enough to flip up the head and see. If he has the mouth, just return him and try again.

No guys, there's actually a way easier way than that, since the embossing can be a PITA to find.

 

Look at how Prime's arms are packaged - Hasbro was kind enough to leave them sticking straight out behind his cab on the faceplate version, whereas the mouth version has them tucked down onto their spots on the back of his legs. ;)

We just received Energon here, not sure what wave though. But it includes Arcee and E-Megs, Landmine, and Insecticon. There is a code embossed on the E-primes here I just can't remember right now. Could it be a Faceplate or Mouth E-Prime? What IS sure is that we never got any wave before this.
