What would you collect if you werent with TF

Recommended Posts

If not TFs toys, then TF animation cels from the movie and the G1 tv series. Pricey I know, but IMO part of TF history and something certainly worth searching for you if you got patience and excess money to spend.

I would agressively collect anime cels in general and original watercolor sketches too by famous anime and manga character designers (Toshihiro Hirano=Dangaioh, Iczer; Mikimoto Haruhiko=GunBuster, Macross; Ashida Kyoko=Shamanic Princess; Takada Akemi=KOR,MI,UY; Sonoda Kenichi=BGC, Gunsmith Cats; Miyazaki Hayao=Laputa,Mononoke Hime,Whisper of the Heart; Takahashi Rumiko=see below). :thumb IMO all of these character designers and directors are the tops in their field; I highly respect them all.

I would not mind getting into original Studio Ghibli art, cels w/matching backgrounds and sketchs too. These get really expensive, imagine how hard it is to obtain one from Takahashi Rumiko , the talented creator of Maison Ikkoku, Urusei Yatsura, Mermaid's Series, One Pound Gospel, Fire Tripper, etc? If you managed to find one for sale, it would be in the THOUSANDS, she is internationally revered. Or if you want the holy grail, original drawings by Miyazaki Hayao himself, the anime "god" even to Western animators. His sketches go for the tens of thousands and that is a conservative range.

Yes I love anime. :thumb

Gundams, Zoids, Anime statures (Especially ones of Belldandy), Model Trains, Anime DVD's, Manga, Lego....

Apart from the Anime statues, I already collect all those lines

MUSCLEs (see signature), Star Wars, TMNT, Battle Beasts, Shogun Warriors, and various dinosaur toys.

I don't know how multiple collectors do it. It's hard enough to find space for all these TFs...

Well, my collecting hobby isn't all that expensive because I'm not a completist. I don't have a large amount of any one line. Instead, I have bits and pieces of a bunch of lines. This attitude allows me to buy only the toys that I think will be the most fun, and alleviates the responsibility of maintaining a complete collection.

Othe then Transformers? Porclin Dragons.

If there were no TFs (grim thought! :eek2 ) there will be little to buy. It would be either other mecha/robot toys like Gundam, anime girls figures (Bubblegum Crisis) or sci-fi or military vehicles. I rarely buy anything outside those categories since the above mentioned are the ones that ignite my spark of passion. :Dc

I would probably go back to collecting He-Man. Although, I am only collecting Transformers right now, I may start back collecting He-Man as well.

Aside from TF's, I collect Robotech/Macross, Star Wars, GI Joe and Gundam, but nowhere near as heavily as TF's.
