You might not be able to (though, you're pretty damn talented) in your house, but I'm sure a machine could at least mass produce something that looks as good as yours. It might not be as intricate, but like I said...watch gears...

I was not disrespectful. I was merely commenting on what you said. In your comment, you were talking directly to Takara/Tomy/Hasbro, telling them to look at this. I merely mirrored that comment.

As for the rest of my statement, that is indeed factual. Anemis has options and possibilities open for him just because he is but one man. He can use techniques not realisable in mass production. It is not the size that is at issue here, it is the production process.

One thing to understand, is that the casting of a mold occures in 2D, not 3D. Yes, there is some relief, but basically, a standard cast mold consists of 2 halfs, between which the plactic is injected. In order to be able to remove the molded plastic part, there needs to be no hindrances. Therefore, the molds are 2D, to more easily fascilitate said extraction.

Take a look at Magnus' shins in Anemis' kitbash. (Excellent work, btw, Anemis). The way Anemis has constructed the shins is from a sheet of plastic, and glued on top of that, various smaller pieces of plastic, under an angle. There is open space below those angled parts. In an injected cast mold, those open spaces ( which make it so realistic and good-looking) would be created by the mold itself filling up that space, preventing the injected plastic to occupy that space. However, If one would to try and extract the now molded piece of plastic, it would be impossible. The injected plastic is now stuck, because it is now surrounded on all sides by the cast mold.

As you can see, it would be impossible to mold things just as Anemis created it, and this is but a simple and obvious example. There are a lot of other parts of this kitbash which were only realisable because Anemis is not restricted to the limits that cast molds bring with them.

Has the paint dried yet, can wee see the alt mode with the white cab pullin some alternators?

PS-Please update your site, I love your work.

I agree somewhat with the comment on cast-molding. I would, however, say that perhaps some aspects of detail were are possible with cast nolding. However, the point is that in order for those to be made possible, then the amount of separate parts, which means either mechanical or human production would be needed, would increase the price of the finished product.

One way Bandai gets around this is to release model kits and toys. The toys and basic model kits dont have a s much details but the advanced Gundams have loads of detail but require assembly.
