FINALLY! Energon Prime with stamp on the box

Recommended Posts

Just picked up an Energon Prime at the walmart in San Diego - with the elusive stamp on the bottom of the box. Sure enough... the face plate version was inside. Hooray! It's about time!

Of all places, when I finally found one, it was at a K-Mart!!! :eek2 :eek :eek2

How can you tell if you're getting Mouth or Face Plate prime? I was gonna get him the other day, but I didn't want to get stuck with a mouth one..

really good question, what is this elusive sticker look like?

It's a small embossed five digit code on the bottom of the box. There's a picture on the transformers news Q&A for Feb 2nd (here) that shows what it looks like.

The code on my box was different though, I think it was 40701. But it was the first time I had ever seen a code on the bottom of an E Prime box, so I finally bought it - thankfully full mouth plate prime was inside!

Happy hunting!

So since the "faceplated" version is the mold that will be used henceforth, the regular "mouth" version should be more collectable right?

The E-Primes available here also have a code embossed on the bottom, although it's different from that listed on Hasbro's Q&A and sickboy's box. Does that mean that all E. Primes with an embossed code are faceplate Primes, or at the very least those with a higher number than on Hasbro's Q&A?

From what I've been reading the last few months, if it has ANY such embossment, you're good for a 'plate :thumb

Jeez... give a guy a mouth and you get nothing but crap :roll Ah well, if there's one thing I've learned about transformer fans is that they'll ALWAYS, without question find something bad to say about anything.

At least I'm getting the impression that you guys actually like Energon Prime :thumb It's a nice change of pace.
