My "Non-Review" of Revoltech Convoy

Recommended Posts

I recall when Transformers:The Movie came out in theaters back in 1986, I put an order in for an "exclusive toy movie version of Optimus Prime." The only picture shown in the offer card was the iconic movie image of Prime in mid-air attack (you know what I'm talking about). Based on that, my expectation was that this was going to be a film-accurate, non-transforming action figure. To my disappointment, what came in the mail was your standard G1 OP, which I of course already have.

Fast forward 20 years and having just received him today from BBTS, this comes closest to what I originally had my hopes set on as a 10-year-old boy. Yes most would argue that the Heroes of Cybertron PVC figures are more movie/toon accurate; however, not only was I out of the loop when they were first released, I would say this Revoltech figure suits my "adult" tastes far better.

Just wanted to share my thoughts with y'all.

You should have saved your money and put it towards Takara's THS-02 Optimus Prime, if you don't have it already.

Remember folks:

When confronted with Pat Lee's bikini top, puffy armed Prime, just say NO.

Reading is fundamental: your post completely misses the point of his.

I did read his post and Revoltech Convoy is a poor example of TF: TM Optimus Prime. There are also Japanese PVCs that are better suited to be a movie Prime than Revoltech Prime.

Again, reading is fundamental...the guy already addressed that.

Can I say it, too?

READING IS FUNDAMENTAL!

*Revoltech Convoy gives thumbs up*

Quit beating around the bush, you can go ahead and call him retarded.

And if I were to get a Dreamwavy version of Prime...I think this would be it.

:tflol :punch

n dragon i have only 1 thing to say to you. :drool

that is all.

I have never owned a PVC Prime before, so I am really having fun with my Revoltech Prime. Sure out of the current Revoltech figures, the Prime mold is a little too comic-bookish, but that is allright. What makes him and Magnus so fun is that they do like like they stepped out of a comic book.
