Where did you come from?

I only wish that series, or any of those Japanese series came out in the states. Makes me feel left out. anyways, the major season 2 gap has bothered me for years, with the addition of about 15 new characters appearing out of knowwhere, i really hated that. Plus, as said before, the constructicon mishap, with them appearing without no prior knowledge. or the big problem with HAULER!

Since the movie was done (if I remember correctly) when Season 1 started here (US), they probably left that gap on purpose, so they wouldn't have any conflicts between the end of Season 2 and the movie.

uh...if you're saying that they did the movie before they started season 1...that's wrong and I don't know where you could have gotten the idea.

From this:

(and if you can't be bothered to go look at that..)

* Transformers The Movie was written in 1984, the same year the series debuted on T.V. This explains why later characters in the cartoon series were not in the movie.
It may or may not have been -produced-, but it was written already.

maybe so...but I know they rewrote it a lot, so y'no.

Yeah the first episode I saw with them said they were built in a cave then they were Omega Supreme's best buds back in the day on Cybertron. :tflaugh1

As far as I know, "Scramble City" was the first episode of the first Japanese series after the end of Season 3. (all I know for sure is that it comes after "The Return of Optimus Prime" and "Rebirth")

Nope, like someone said before, it takes place before the movie.

I believe Dream Wave comics is filling that "gap" up quite nicely from the G1 comics they made so far.  What does everyone else think of Dreamwave?  Also, what's up with the "War Within" series?  It doesn't fit with any G1 episodes history tellings.  Is Dreamwave making their own version because the TV version didn't always make sense?

dreamwave is great and war within is more like a reimagination of the begining of the saga(kinda like the new planet of the apes).

Ok... Great! Thanks for the explanation... Now seeing how the stories are so different, which history would you follow/believe? TV series, D.W. War Within, or old (Marvel?) comics? I'm most loyal to the TV version myself, but I might convert to the D.W. series if they make more and it turns out really good...

P.S. Sorry for putting a random subject here, perhaps I should make this a NEW topic? Somewhere else?

Wanna know what would be cool but will probably never happen? It would be cool if if they re-made all of the G1 characters into new toys. I know they would not be able to make Megatron but I think it would be cool.
