megatron's last form in the beast machines show

Recommended Posts

What was that all about?

wasn't he..um optimal megatron?

Yup. Optimal Optimus's last body from beast wars with Megatrons head on top. I wonder if the people over at mainframe entertainment just cut and pasted the parts together? lol.

More accurately, it was Optimal Optimus with a Transmetal Megatron face, and without a beast mode. And I wouldn't doubt that they'd just take their old model and modify the face. Why would they model it from scratch?

i just bought BM optimal optimus, why did they not put a megs head on it, and is there any good megatron head i could put on it, the only one i could think of would be is BW megatron??

Well, the toy's Primal Prime, not Optimal Megatron... and I'm sure Optimal Megatron was just dreamed up by Mainframe as a sort of poetic final battle, with no direction from Hasbro.

And the face was modelled after TM Megatron (well, actually, that was the only face he ever had when he had a full anthropoid body, excluding his original). Toywise, it's the only figure that has that particular face (with the cheek spikes and all. TM2's toy had vents there instead), so that's the only one you'd be able to use for the show-accurate look. Whether that head is actually the right scale to fit into the Optimal Optimus helmet is another story...

I thought it was a good idea. I enjoyed every minute of that battle between Megatron and Optimus. It was cool to see the Optimal form again.

They didn't put Megatron's head on it because its not Megatron...

Yes it is megatron, just because they didnt make a toy of it doesnt make it any less of a representation of megatron. This was his final form in the beast machine continuity. Yes it was completely Optimal Optimus's body from the third season of beast wars, but it did have Megatrons head, and it did house the spark of Megatron. So it was Megatron.
