I'll take the bait. What does gundam mean?

Does anything besides SD gundam come on in America? I want to check out this Seed...

me and my friend always argue which is better. he thinks freedom gundam could beat g1 opi: what a fool :tflaugh :tflaugh :tflaugh

prime could beat megatron even with megatron cheating like crazy

plus if pushed to the edge he would kill, in the marvel comics he killed alot, and in G2 he specifically aimed for headshots

yes, please! I thought it was due to the material they were made from. Gundaminium?

Anyway, the "cute" girl is not japanese, by genetics, at least. She looks Vietnamese? still nice, though!

Im a bit jelous that you met tha creator. all my Japanese teachers (as old as 40) are now looking at the picks over my shoulder with envy!

I shall use my everpresent brain and answer the gundam and what it means. Officially, it means nothing. but there are many fan acronyms(not counting Seed, because i cant remember that one)

G-Genetic

U-Universal

N-Neutrally

D-Different

A-Alloy

M-Material

I got a perfect grade Rx-78 Kit for my birthday 3 years ago.

So many parts! Its was ridiculous. More than any kit I've ever built. Took me a month to finish it.

But the damn thing is so cool!!

The cute girl is half Japanese. Yes, I got the 411.

He joked around first & explained Gundam came from when a giant robot stepped on a gun & flattened it.

Then he explained that the word Gundam can be broken down into 2 words "Gun" & "Dam". A dam that can stop a gun...."Gundam"

I'm sorry guys because I might get beat to death for saying this but in my OPINION Gundam is a ripp off of the Transformers. I always felt that way from the first time I saw a Gundam figure. I felt the same way when I saw Gobots.

Ok so you all can kill me know for saying it!!!!

I'll go easy on ya. :)

Gundam - 1979

Transformers - 1984

Machine Robo (Go-bots) also existed before the US created Transformers as we know them.

wow, maybe that was too light. Gundam has been in many people's minds, the beginning of the real-mech anime genre. that's not to say that all mech anime is based off gundam, but to a certain degree, it is.

Did you know that one of the Gundam Wing pilots is the same voice as Rattrap?

Duo? Death Scythe/Hell/Hell Custom pilot?
