Nice. It's pictures like this that make me want to continue drawing. My technique is less than amateur..

I really like the perspective on it. It really gives the feel of Bruticus towering over Starscream, as he should.

Anywho, how did you get an 18 x 24 drawing scanned into the computer? There's a few I wanted to do from a drawing class I took, but I can't figure out how. My digicam sucks.

well, i had to scan it in like 7 different sections and then piece them together in photoshop

im glad you like man

just wait til you see the colors ;)

Looking great already Josh, can't wait to see it with the colors. :thumb

looking good as allways josh. Can't wait to see the final version of this.

By the way, I find the way you draw TFs very interesting. You make everythign far more angular and exagerated than you normal see TF art done, really makes it stand out from the rest. Can I ask what led you to drawing like that?

i got really tired of seeing the same kind of transformer art all the time so i figured id step out

i took a break and wondered around different art boards [ledheavy.com is my biggest place of inspiration]

artists like Skottie Young who way stylize their characters are huge influences

they just give the characters a new twist

i spent the next while trying to pick up a style similar to theirs [more of a street "graffiti" look] and its evolved into what you see now

at first i longed just to be another DW clone in my pencils but i figured to step out and be different

anyway, here's the colored version >D

Whoa! That's a great piece! I have to say, I love your take on things.... you give old characters a new breathe of life sorta speak. :thumb great work as always!

Any hints on what you next work will be? lol or is it kinda "as the muse strikes"?

Thanx again for sharing, I really enjoy your work!
