Just a thought that crossed my mind. I thought it would be cool if they made them a again but not form in gestalt mode, but rather just be a special ops Decepticon team. They just do covert stuff and militiristic missions. In other words like if they did a Classics version or the Cartoon Heroes version that it was just a five member team that with modern military vehicles (no space shuttle) and were like the Decepticon badass team. Would it bother you guys alot if they don't form a gestalt?

In practice, it wouldn't bother me at all.

 

But if a non-gestalt is something you want, why wait for Hasbro? Just pick five Decepticon military vehicles and just say that's who they are.

I know, but just nice to have an official one because as this is a hobby its nice to see how others enjoy the same toy as one, the hunt for it, and plus me not being a really great kitbashes it will not have the same quality compared to one's officially made.

 

They were almost were like this in RID but since the show was more goofy than serious, they were not that popular. In Energon they showed up to late in the series, plus sharing the same mold limbs took away from the uniqueness. And in gestalt mode didn't like not having better looking hands.

 

I guess weather it be the Combaticons or any other teams, I guess I just would like to see a sub elite team for either the Deceps or Bots. Seen in a toon or comic, that we can get as cool toys. Like maybe even the Wreckers from Strombinger.

Combaticons makes sense. Gestalt teams like Trainbots makes no sense. They are fighting a war, after all.

Fair enough. Not to sound obsessed with G1, but these are the best examples I can think of. The Dinobots & Insecticons They were both affliliated to whatever side, yet they were their own sub group. The dinos were the bruisers & the Insecticons were more of the sabotuers. I didn't care much for RID until Scourge & Combaticons showed up, because it clearly made a sub group under Megs control, they became his elite prety much and to me made the show interesting.

 

So yeah I would like to see a elite class of bots that they have a common theme and even common colors, that are officiall by Hasbro. Like the Crimsom guard of Cobra, but different molds of each other.

In all honestly, I don't entirely understand what you're asking for. There have been lots of subgroups for both teams that don't combine, and most of them were special squads with special purposes or strengths/abilities.

Pretty much a team that like say Prime and regular autobots can't handle a situation, Prime is like "the hell with this call in the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ to take care of this! They will clean these deceps out!" Or Megs needs to get a certain mission done so he is like " No Starscream you suck! Bring me the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ they are experts at this!", then a team of couple of badasses show up. Then you get the toys, whether they all come in a pack or sold individually.

 

Cybertron did it with Redalert, Hotshot, and "whats his name" . But they got beat up alot also by Megs. However some repainted the toys in camo colors, and they really looked liked a team and really badass.

Those molds need realistic Camo, or an all White NWO UN colours :thumb

 

 

Military vehicle bots are awesome, prehaps the extra movie line figures (that white Stryker who isn't bonecruncher) will have something to this effect, as the cons look to be all Military/enforcement vehicles
