Classics Megatron (2 Pack Tank) Repaint & new hand

Recommended Posts

Hey all.

I wanted to do this before I even picked up the two pack. I gave up on the idea when i ran into a bit of trouble trying to take him apart. But when I say Ceerad did it, I decided to gave it another try. His lack of right hand really bothered me, so I decided to get rid of the "spinning blade of doom" to give him new arm and hand. I'm still not 100% happy with the hand I chose, and may change it later on. I also still need to add a bit more paint to break up the silver. Let me know what you think.

they're left-over gundam hands

I was hoping for more green and purple.

i was never a big fan of bright green&purple tank. I originally intended to paint him matte gray, but didn't have the paint on hand, so I just went with the silver.

*likes teh hand*

*makes one wonder why hasbro didn't just do that in the first place*

Yeah really....he totally painted it the wrong colors.

But the hand, I like. :thumb

If I get that two pack I'm thinking about doing like they did to Grimlock. Making him a cross between Bludgeon's Pretender shell and his actual bot mode. Mostly his head would be like the Pretender shell and since the bot mode of this figure is already very samuraiesque all he'd need is a sword and a paint job.

Everything looks great! :thumb

But I still think the toy is a P.O.S :tdown

Oh, It is, that's why I didn't mind hacking up his right arm. He is still much better then his counterpart (prime) I'm trying to make his legs collapse in alt mode, but damn, that's going to be hard.
