At work today, I found two TFU King Atlas figures - I bought both of them, because he's just so damn incredibly G1ish. A brick, but a DAMN COOL looking brick!

 

Bought one to keep normal, bought one to paint.

 

After 4+ hours of work, I am proud to debut to the world........GOLDWARP! (I may change that name........any better ideas?)

 

Gold = Erm, the gold on him. (Gotta work on the intakes, make them a little neater.)

 

Warp = An homage to G1 Skywarp, my favorite of the seekers, through the large amount of black and purple, with a smidge of silver thrown in.

 

I do not have the robot portion completed as of yet - that's for tomorrow, considering I'm sick as hell with a cold and have to be up at 4am tomorrow to go to work.

I think he'll turn out to be my best repaint - he's so damn easy to transform, that I won't have to worry too much about chipping the new paint........a true throwback to G1.

 

If he didn't cost $20 a pop, I'd get seven more and do one each of Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp (Truly G1 authentic job instead of just inspired by), Thrust, Dirge, Ramjet and Sunstorm.

 

Him and my King Atlas that I won't repaint will go great on each side of my computer monitor.

names...maybe the gold comes out more in robot mode but that strikes me more as black being dominant. based on that i'd name him something like

"darkbomber" or "nightflight' or something.
