Ok, this seals it....F*ck this movie.

There are very few constants in the world of Transformers over the last 20+ years:

Optimus always fights Megatron,

Starscream is always a backstaber,

and Optimus's head/face always has a familiar, iconic design.

Everything else is fair game.

I think there are fewer constants than you realize:

http://tfu.info/1995/Autobot/OptimusPrimeG...ptimusprime.htm

hahahahahah how dare you bring facts into this discussion

the body is ok but the face looks like its been put in a vice

so you are saying that there is nothing that will make you support this movie at all now???

You are absolutely correct. If that's what Prime looks like when this movie hits theaters, I'll wait until it hits HBO and throw up in the comfort of my own home.

the more of these designs i see the more the TF schemes seem logical and innovative - and make me cream my self...

I can just sit and pour over the pices of Prime's alt mode forever trying to figure out which piece goes where....

and these clearer pics are just more ammo...

You got me there, but can you honestly say that when you think Optimus Prime that either of these images pop up in the old noggin.

Looks like crap and the designs make no sense, its akin to humans going into battle with our internal organs on display

um their insides are made of metal too

The "not armored enough" argument is the perfect example of complaining just to complain.

actually its not, in terms of evolution they make no sense, everything has a trade off in terms of size, speed, strength, agility, speed, intelligence, defence etc etc but nothing opens itself up to a vulnerable state like that (they usually look like that after they have been jumped and half eaten)

I couldnt care if they were g1 accurate, entirely new designs or what I would like them to make sense though. I am more than confident that the only reason they look the way they do is so they can go "ooh when it moves you can see the internal doohickey spining" and fawn over the cgi which the moviegoing public really dont care about, its like the crap with ILM gushing over the physics and cgi of the atrocious pod race in the phantom menace when all the movie watchers wanted was the damn thing to end.

You are being melodramatic, rediculously so.

and? our skin is made of similar material to our organs too, we dont open up our bodies prior to war though. If these attacked earth I really wouldnt fancy their chances as it wouldnt be difficult to "throw a spanner in the works"

we have endoskeletons

and we're organic creatures

Hey every body look, G2 Laser Prime Forgot to put his clothes on this morning!!!!!

Seriously though, I like it, and don't forget its going to sound like Cullen, that was the weirdest thing about Beast Wars and Co they never sounded like prime!!!

Well.....considering he was a totally 100% different character....

BUT to be back on topic.....

dude, giant robot that will fight other giant robots....

I'm game
