So yes, Primus was designed to look like Rodimus by the writers/artists (or if we look at it as true TF history, Rodimus takes after Primus).

yeah, Primus was the core of Cybertron in Marvel continuity. The Ultimate Guide also talks about their battles on the Astral Plane.

The battle between Primus and Unicron is fought no only in the physical Universe but also in a mental battlefield where distance and scale become irrelevant.  Few are aware of this secondary reality, fewer still able to direct their consciousness through it.  Damage inflicted on the astral plane is felt acutely by the physical form, and can sometimes result in complete shutdown.

As for Rodimus resembling Primus, in the Legacy of Unicron (which also reveals the origins of the TFs and the battles between Unicron and Primus), Unicron refers to Rodimus as "Primus" when they're about to do battle in the Astral Plane.

What Transformer planet was that that Unicron destroyed in the old Transformers movie? Wasn't that Cyberton? I'm sorry if I sound stupid, I haven't seen that move in a long time.

I don't believe they gave the name of the planet he ate in the beginning of the movie. He also devoured both of Cybertron's moons.

Yep. If I'm right that is a prototype for Unicron in the BW Neo line.

Big Convoy was recolored for Universe, so maybe they could use the mold, retool it and release it as Universe Primus

wouldn't be a bad idea, just remold the head and get rid of the horns on his shoulders.
