What 's the deal with Classics megs and ops faces??

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Now that pics of classics OP have shown up he seems to have the same yellow splodge and piece cut out of his face that classics meg (g2 homage) did, leading to one of 2 conclusions:

1. It's supposed to represent battle damage

2. It's something done to the test shots to discourage people acquiring them illegally.

I hope it's the latter as it looks rubbish IMO. Why make a half-decent figure then gash a piece out of it and ruin it totally. OK, the battle damage effects worked on some armada figures (galvatron, wheeljack) but not on these. Does anyone have any info/ideas/opinions as to which is the case?

probably just to stop people from buying test shots

Has it been seen on any other test shots in that line or any line or that matter?

I'd say NUMBER TWO.

Number One, I hereby order you to go take a number two.

test shot test shot TESTSHOT.

hasbro has been doing this for years

Wrong. They were in a pie-eating contest. The bonus mini-comic explains it all.

yeah, i would highly assume its to deter people away from stealing prototypes/test shots and selling them for profit. That makes alot more sense than worrying if the yellow paint will be on the final product.

they were having a contest to see who could blow the biggest gum bubble and energon-flavored gum is green.

Either way, I still don't get it. Why not destroy them completely?

well it costs money to run the furnace, not to mention that the enviromentalists would get in a tizzy over burning plastic.
