Actually, the F-15 exists in a more silverish color. Which means that they could have reserved the current color for Thundercracker.

 

I don't mind slightly-off colors for realism. But I think they shot themselves in the legs for using a color that's close to Thundercracker. Now they have to think twice before choosing a good color for Thundercracker. Skywarp is no problem though, as there are a lot of dark-gray F-15's out there.

And that's the whole problem right there. The real color would have been perfect for updated G1 Starscream color. That's why the dark gray that Takara is using makes absolutely no sense. They could have had their realism and kept SS in G1 colors, but they did not.

Sorry tobe a little nit-picking, but parts of the waist need to be silver.

Also, try to use a realy clear blue for the feet.

Now that im looking at them side by side the old one really looks chunky.... in a bad way.

Maybe, but when they released MP Convoy with a gray gun, only to then release MP Magnus with a black gun, the gray gun made more sense. Who knows what they'll do? They probably will repaint it. I doubt that they're just going to toss out the MP Starscream mold.
