Alternators

Nemesis Prime was said to be the capper (last release) for the year. Referencing it being for sale at SDCC in very limited quantities.

It was stated that the Alternators for the rest of the year are being show at SDCC and BotCon. There are a few more releases that that will released spring of 2007

Uhhh...

So (the not available) Nemesis Prime is the last alt release for the year...while at the same time the alts for the rest of the year are shown at SDCC (have seen no pics yet) and botcon...

Something tells me the release of MP Starscream hinges on how well the DVD MP Optimus sells.

Also, by more expenive Star Wars TFs, I hope we are talking a Star Destoryer, or even cooler, a Death Star.

That's too bad, because as soon as Cybertron's done, I'm only collecting alts.

(okay, and maybe CL Bumblebee and Jetfire)

Hasbro is well aware that Takara is making the MP-04 Optimus Pirme and Trailer and are evaluating it for for a US release. They have not decided if it will be just the trailer or both.

please be just the trailer....

can you say "hard sell"?

either that or "HTS exclusive"

i know it'll never be sold on it's own, but a guy can dream  :tfsad

well you never know, they didn't deny it...

seriously I could see them offering it on HTS

In black?

And I'm seriously digging Hasbro's chance at trying new things through development of the movie line. :boogie

I think they "Alts for the rest of the year" that they're referring to are ones like Optimus, Mirage, Camshaft, and the rerelease of Meister.

No Rumble this year.  :tfsad

Nice to at least see Hasbro admitting that MP Starscream was originally designed as an Alternator. I guess he really is a Binaltech in a Masterpiece packaging. Lame. Give me an all plastic version with G1 paint for $40 and I wont say another word on this matter.

Well, at least they've left some stuff for Botcon.

Well you gotta figure, the Alt line has been out for a long time now... The good figures are among the best Transformers ever released, but the overall line is just getting cluttered up with lesser repaints, re-releases, and a general sense (IMO) that the high point of the line has already passed.

how come?

""""Hasbro was asked about working with Aircraft makers for new figures. They've responded saying they have thrown ideas around putting other vehicles into the line, but the scale is prohibitive at 1:24 as it will not fit in the package. It was stated that “one offs are still an option they are looking at. They mentioned that this was how the Starscream fig came about."""

“one offs ??? WTF is the last sentence about?
