besides, their market is in japan. not the small number (in comparison) who import it. dont japanese people like those things? not trying to be racist in the slightest, but arent lil figures like those popular over there? if so it would make sense for them to throw a dimes worth of extra plastic to move more units.

We should be clear, some japanese people like it.  I'm sure not all do. I have to admit, I'm going to be embarassed if one of my friends sees the kiss packaging and associates it with one of my hobbies.  I guess I'm screwed.  I'll be surprised if this helps TF sales, but I'm interested to find out.  It is interesting that Takara sells a great product that most people who buy it love, but they can't sell enough of them to make money and have to keep changing up the strategy.  I wish BT was just working as BT or even BT*.  I was giving kiss the benefit of the doubt, thinking it would still just be TF's with chicks, but having seen the box shots, this kiss sfuff is officially wigging/grossing me out...

There's seriously nothing gross/wrong with all this. In truth, you guys are taking it out of context. This series is probably meant for attracting the shojo crowd. The art style is okay... though true, the poses are a li'l iffy. And pdemaio, those who make fun of you and/or hate you for your hobby weren't your friends in the first place.

Hasn't a big par t of this debate been that they are listed as being 7 or so, but look like 20, or is it the other way around. Either way, I agree w/ pdemaio, it is disturbing and the new marketing makes me want to not buy it more than anything else.
