I had the same design idea in a gestalt I was planning in that the arms(cars) will turn outward like that at the waist so as to give him elbows. Great job!

Well you also have to keep in mind how hard it is to work with metal.

 

I like Wikkid's MM but i'm going for more of the toy accurate thing here.

 

I want MM's feet to be the cab and the body the Trailer.

 

In the end it5's how you work with the materials you have. Some have different approaches but I wouldn't say something is better. As long as the artist is happy with the outcome then that's all that matters.

 

I do however love how my MotorMaster/Menasor is comming along.

 

Sorry though guys, I'm keeping the legs as is. This is homage peice. A mix of modern with classic and I like the legs as they are.

 

(Besides, having Prowl's legs folded out would make it unstable. Trust me, I try out everything.)

This is gonna kick ass.

I like both kitbashers' approach. But to be fair, I like Wikkid's work slightly more. The reason being that he is willing to go beyond expected conventions of how a character is supposed to look like and takes on his own interpretation of the engineering behind the toy. I like to think that if we can put a little of our own innovation into a toy, it becomes a true kitbash.

Oh, he can stand on his own but I have to tighten up the joints wich half of that will be done once it's finnished and painted.

 

It can stand on it's own now but one good bump and it's possible it'll topple and with how far i've come with it it would really be bad for it to fall and break now no?

 

There has been support shown in these pics but it reallt isn't needed right now.
