:eek dude how did you make that box...it rules in so many ways

I WANT ONE

Thanks for the kind words, guys!  In terms of my methods, I think most of you who know me, know I'm a Photoshop junkie.  I snagged the logos on the net, made the box layout (one piece) in Photoshop, drew all of the illustrations, then burned the file to a CD.  I then went to a local printer (no, not Kinkos) and picked out the paper stock.  I placed the order to print (yes, Transformers and the logos are copyrighted, but it is my own design.  I also placed the proper copyright info and informed the printer that it is a "not for sale product.")

Like I said the other night...very cool...

and thats when i thought it was just the outside of the box!  Now that I know you even made an insert, and the tape cases, and thelittle packet of nifty stuff...now this is just B.A. for bad @$$!

I LOVE the clear "roof"

How did you accomplish that?  Is it just an inkjet printer over clear transparencies, and trimmed to fit?

. . . once the printer done their job, I brought the piece home and cut it out.  The clear window on top you called, squall.  I printed the logo and the "animation cels" on transparency paper.

Oh on a side note, my parents still aren't cool with me being into TFs, and I showed it to my mom . . . she said "where did you buy this?"  I told her I made it and she loved it!  Haha!

Glad you guys are all enjoying my piece.  Always fun to share my work!

The only reason for the single thumbs down:  VHS tapes?  Aw man, c'mon...

Yeah, I'm just stuck in the 80's . . .

Wow that is SLICK, like Cheetor's BM body :)

If these eps are on dvd reproducing it would be illegal.

just my 2 cents on the matter.

me i dont see nothing wronge if the guy decides to share copies of the complete series so long as

1 whatever company it is that supossedly owns the right to this particuler series does not have it's own copyrighted series of it out on the market and

2 no money changes hands between him and the person recieving them.

guy a sends guy b a set of disks or tapes to copy them to guy b who then sends them back.

there is such a thing as a simple trade people despite how much certain individuals would like to believe it does not exist.

so long as no money is involved at all i figure the guy is just doing a fellow fan a slight favor.

hell i do the same thing for my cousin mike and he's usually working/sleeping 24/7

it's going on what 5 years since the show went off the air and they still refuse to put the show on the market to own dvd wise.

hell, how do you think i got my hands on a copy of batman and dracula red rain?

i was checking every book store and comic shop in the entire tristate area for a whole year and a half straight , turns out it got sold out not even an entire month after it's first printing way back in 1992.

long story short i had to contact a distant relative way down  in kentucky. the guy runs an antique bookshop down there.

i asked him once when i picked it up how he manged to order a copy of it.  all he ever said on the matter was don't ask you don't know me and he don't know the person who delivered it to him, i ever ask him on the matter again i would have to forfeit the book all together. that was what i figure would be called the gentlemen's agreement between him and me.

it's called having connections people and yeah sometimes a persons moral values can be a bit misplaced or next to nonexistant for that matter but so long as no money is involved whatsoever in this case  i really don't see how the person holding the copywright to the series  is getting hurt in the long or short term nor do i see  how he has has anything to Starscream about so long as that person refuses to sell it on the market dvd release wise.

so the guy is willing to do a few fellow fans a favor

i guess at best one could think of a fair trade as being some sort of mutual charity in a way.

What if we are buying the box, artwork, and 'extras' that he made himself, and not the videos themselves?

Technically, we are paying for his work and not the copied movies.  :thumb
