Any Words On TF Classics Soundwave?

Recommended Posts

He's a wave two fig.  The only signs we've seen of that wave at this point is the alleged colour sheet for Grimlock, at a tiny, tiny scale.  Be patient.

i believe that some one saw some pics of the classics wave 2 line-up at the San Diego Comic Con and that Soundwave was not among them so maybe Hasbro cancelled him out of fear of pissing off the geewuners?

here's the post in question:

I'm going to state this right off the bat - yes, I was able to see pictures on some of this stuff. No, I do not have any physical copy of any picture. No, the pictures NOT circulating on the 'net. No, I can not get you a picture, even if you swear on your mother's grave.

So, here we go.

Transformers Classics

- Cliffjumper

- Ramjet

I do not know their size. I do not know if Cliffjumper is a redeco or a repaint. Same goes for Ramjet. All I know is they are listed as upcoming products in the Classics line. No, nothing about a Skywarp or Thundercracker. Sorry

- Grimlock

I've seen a couple pictures. Color sheet that was shown a few weeks back looks pretty spot-on. Looks to be pretty posable, even in T-Rex form. Overall, if you can get past the different transformation (from what we've seen in pictures and the color sheet) from what we're used to, he should be a pretty good figure.

- Mirage

The best way to describe his robot mode is to have you think Energon Prowl, but not so kiddy-feeling. He does resemble G1 Mirage in vehicle mode, but he looks more like Energon Prowl in robot mode. Not sure on posability, picture was pretty small

- Jetfire

This figure could be the best figure in the line. If you enjoyed the G1 style for the jet mode, you're in luck - it's pretty much the same, even with the extra red armor/weaponry thingy whatever (I do not own a G1 Jetfire). In robot mode, he resembles mostly the G1 toy, but does have what feels like a G1 cartoon chest. Apparently he has two heads/faces? (like in War Within, a "battle mask" or whatever, so he has both cartoon and G1 toy faces/heads). Not entirely sure, couldn't tell in the picture, was actually told that.

- Mini-Cons

They're in Transformers Classics packaging. But I'm not sure if they are considered "Classics" figures, or if Hasbro is just continuing the Mini-Con releases but in Classics packaging. Most of everything coming out this fall is in the same Classics packaging, so it's hard to say. The name Nightscream was mentioned as one of the Mini-Cons. Something else about a tank, helicopter, and a boat? Again, I'm not sure, that was word of mouth, no pictures.

so the post mentions 4 deluxes, one mega(Jetfire) and new minicon vs. packs. well there's still room for Soundwave in that line up since the classic waves tend to be 4 deluxes and two megas.

he will be there eventually. he'l probably turn into somekind of mediaplayer due to megatron being a gun and all.

For Hasbro's sake they had better include him.*preparing angry letter just in case*  I just hope he has something like the casseticons for him.  Maybe he'll be a minidisc player?

if they didnt release him, id be alright. my gf soundwave and soundblaster kick quite a bit of ass.

i believe that some one saw some pics of the classics wave 2 line-up at the San Diego Comic Con....

That came from Kickback over at tfw2005

Comic Con hasn't happened yet, or else there'd be pics and news and everything all over most action figure news sites (action-figure.com, fwooshnet, not to mention our own news sites).

after cybertron/GF soundwave id say sound wave is in good hands just so long as hes not a tape player but then again thier was megatron......

comiccon should be awsome since i think this will be the first time we see the wave 2 toys

I'm personally hoping for a camcorder alt. mode.  Keeps Soundwave current, with the possibility of tape minions intact, without being anachronistic.
