Hasbro doesn't hate Megatron. As said they simply tried to please the fanboys as well as the main stream younger collectors. IMO they did a damn fine job too considering Megatron was made a gun at all. Could we also please get off this "they made him a nerf gun so he automatically sucks mentality. yes colours could have been improved but from a legal perspective what did you expect. To me personally he looks enough like a gun. Not a real gun but for what Hasbro went for they came pretty damn close to pulling it off. The only thing that unfortunately really hurts this mold is the day glow green for the eyes and wings and the safety regulated orange pieces on the barrel and sight. All else completely rocks and looks very solid like the rest of the Cybertron line.

 

Not as excited for this one as I am Cybertron Trex Megatron but definitely looking forward to it just the same.

im not a fan but the hasbro effort should be commended. the original g1 was never rereleased because even in bright NEON (thats right, they made a neon..orange i think test version), the lovely US toy and public safety peeps wouldnt allow it.  It just looked too much like a real gun.

 

So ironically, its Americas "freedom to carry arms" or whatever its called that is responsible for you lot not being able to walk into a toys r us and come out a nice swanky G1 Megatron.

 

I reckon the Takara repaint of the classics megs will be a lot better, but well done Hasbro..all the same.

 

However, PLEASE Hasbro..please make a WWI megs, not another rendition of a G2 "made by cobra" tank.  and whats with the lack of cobra symbol on taht g2 cobra titanium megs eh?
