MP Beast Wars??

Recommended Posts

I was just looking at some of my TM Beast wars (mostly TM Tarantulas.)  And was wondering if hasbro would ever do Masterpeice BeastWars figures (if The movie does/doesnt do well).  The TransMetals were so detailed, yet their best potential was molded solid.  I would love Transmetals with working hydrolics and be COMPLETELY possible.  Thoughts?

YES....but it will most likely never happen. :tfsad

Well, there is already Beast machine Supreme Cheetor and Air-attack Optimus Primal, isn't it?

Good luck.  You saw how long it took to get Mp01, twenty years.  In ten years when it's Primal's turn the tf's will probably be no more thanks to ps5 or something like that.

i would love a mp primal :)

Go dig out Supreme Cheetor. Play with him. Now come back and tell me how much of a Master Piece he is. Now AAOP, That guy is fun. If his mouth opened and closed and he didnt have that stupid punch arm, yeah I'd call him an MP.

For me BW, especially the TM figs, are already really great representations of what we watched on TV. The animators stayed really close to the actual toy design. The two figs I really want redone are TM2 Megs (Better dragon arm, pectoral muscles, neck that's useful) and Rampage (Crablegs off his forearms) Maybe in ten more years they'll remake the original or Optimal Optimus?

Yeah really, half of the impetus behind 20th Prime / MP Convoy in the first place was the fact of the disparity between show and toy... as with much of G1. Which makes it a better series to draw from. By the time they got to the Transmetals, the toys were just about as show-accurate as you could ask for (barring TM Rattrap's back wheels, but blame Mainframe for that one).

That said, I don't think an MP version of the original Optimus Primal or Megatron would be uncalled for, especially since there was some disparity between toy and show... though IMO the Japanese Primal vs. Megs set has largely erased that problem.

And there's also the question of scale... would you really want a 12" Primal? As it stands, RM Primal, TM Primal, and OpOp are pretty much to scale with 20th Prime.

What I'd really love to see is something for Beast Machines (surprise), though I don't know if the fans of that show would be better served by transforming action figures or just super poseable non-transforming figs.

Yah a 12 inch Primal is not realistic, BUT by the 25th anniversary of BW rolls around , I think it'll be possible to condense the complication of MP Prime to a more simular size of a Mega vs a supreme.

That would really be cool. Personally I'd like to see the orignal forms of Primal and Megatron used oposed to the flashy chromed what not of the later incarnations. Also as actual beasts oposed to the robo versions would be ideal. Probably the only one but I really enjoyed the characters most in S1.

Scale? I too think MP scale is a a bit overkill. Somebody mentioned voyager but IMO Ultra would be perfect for the amount of detail and articulation I would want to see in these. Really wish the Cybertron BW leaders were either voyager or Ultra but you take what you can get.

Lastly I don't know if it's been mentioned or not but aside fom pins and screws I really don't want any metal used. I personally don't believe a TF needs to be dicast to be a MP.  Well made plastic is just a good if not better, and is altogether easier to pose and balanced. JMO.
