From the moment I got CD-RA i thought it was an ideal Megs Mold.

I am not real keen on the size of the BFG - if it were about 2/3 the length, and on a turret it would be PERFECT!

 

As it is - the missle is longer than the figure is tall.

 

I like the potental color scheme of this fig, and with a head remold - he could be really awesome.

 

but he does look more G1 than BW.... of course, at somepoint wasnt it alluded to that they were the same guy anyway?

I don't think so. From what I understand Beast Megatron was just a well known criminal, not even the Predacon faction leader in the same sense that G1 Megatron was the Decepticon faction leader. Megatron wasn't even his real name, he simply "stole" it to raise his notability over other Cybertronian crime lords. Besides, Beast Megatron was actually good at being an evil leader, G1 Megatron pretty much failed at everything he attempted.

T-Rex Megatron's bio also says that he stole dinosaur DNA from a human research lab... Nor does it make mention of him being the same Megatron as G1 Megatron, it simply refers to him as an "evil leader"...

 

I'll just stick with the cartoons and comics for my character bios, the tech specs from G1 up have always seemed to contradict each other.

Once I saw the show and then read the Bios on the back of the first wave of BW figs I figured the toy bios were to be ignored. They didn't make sense till Transmetals.
