I've bought two of the tapes (my friend borrowed my first copy - for over 10 years now :grr ) and I just got the DVD last year. Does anybody know if this edition will have anything different?

I don't know for the sony edition, but for the Metrodome one, well, first of all, there is this:

See? The movie was first destined to be a Direct To Video, but then TF was a big success, and they decided to cut it a bit so it would fit for the theatre. And when they decided to make it for the TV finaly, instead of taking the the orignal 3/4, they cut it again.

"Brillant sir, you are a genius!"

The new DVD, will feature the complete original 3/4, never "seen" before.

Then there is the old version:

And the new version

But I don't know if sony is doing the same.

From the new description it seems they were going to include extras, maybe going as far as to include info that paul hitchens gave out at his Transformers the movie panel at Cybercon this past year.

BTW, his panel was AWESOME if you're really into the flick.

Check it, here...

Metrodome won't be too happy with you directly linking to their downloads. I suggest you remove the links.
