could "Classics" be acting as a buffer for

Recommended Posts

I just figured it was obvious or something like that

It really wouldn't be the first time a company has used a transitional line to introduce elements of the next line in order to create a sort of familiarity, as people like the familiar.

It's not just toys; they want our money and they'll go through much more than you'd think to ensure they get it.

I think Hornet was being serious

am i the only one who believes that the Classics toyline could be acting as a nostalgia fix for the collectors to make up for the possibility that the new movie might be as different from G1 as BM was from BW? it makes sense when you think about it: give the collectors all the homages they want in the Classics toyline so they'll get sick of the nostalgia and be ready for something new when the new movie comes around. even Titaniums are helping to a certain degree.

No, you're not.

Actually, I'm kind of hoping it will be a bit like this. I really hope that they will take a new direction with both the movie and what comes after. No more G1 rehashing.

if the trailer and the pic if bumblebee are right the movie will be another retelling of what we know allready

you can't be serious...

i don't mean that the toys would be repaints of previous toys. i'm thinking more of a relationship like how Mattel's "The Bat Man" toyline is their main Batman toyline while "Batman Begins" was their sub-line.

I think the movie toys will be the one pushed the most when they're out.  I think classics and titaniums will be pushed over like universe.

i can see that happening from a cartoon point of view i can see hasbro starting the next show just after the movie just like The Batman and X-men evolution they both started (at least in the UK) after the movies were release

also thiers only what 12 characters in the movie so any movie line is going to be pritty small when compared ti cybertron and i dont see hasbro doing Movie Minicon packs

I bet we get some human toys to go with them.  and multiple versions of some of the tfs.  like a non-transforming but superposable edition.

I think there will be quite a few cameos by TF characters that we've grown to love and they will make up some of the toyline as well

kids are pretty used to there being toys of tf's that don't appear in the cartoons so maybe Hasbro might make some "non-show" characters for the movie, providing that the toyline is popular enough.
