Star Wars TFs, why not GI Joe TFs

Recommended Posts

I know we have a GI Joe TF in the form of Energon Snow Cat, but why not other Joe vehicles like the RHINO (which could easily be sold as two separate figures, with the copter being a deluxe and the ground vehicle as a mega or ultra where the deluxe could fit into the top like the actual RHINO.

Don't encourage them.  The SWTF's are barely passable, at least the early ones are, not sure about the new ones that have been mentioned.  Having robots look like the figure just doesn't work very well.

I'm not talking about them actually turning into actual Joe characters like Duke, Snake Eyes etc.  I'm talking about going with the idea that they're actual Transformers like Snow Cat was, but they're based on GI Joe vehicles.  Like I could easily see if they wanted to, G1 Whirl as the RHINO copter and Roadbuster as the ground vehicle, both at different sizes so like the real RHINO, the copter can attach to the vehicle, and they too could combine in robot mode forming something like Whirlbuster or something.

well maybe if they did those mechs they have in the current tf/g.i joe cross over. i wouldnt mind owning them

Good question. That would rock. How about 2-packs of "reissue" GI Joe figures a la the comic packs paired with classic transformers character versions of the vehicles?

they have made prototypes back in the 80's but they seem to toss the idea around then scrap it, staying with the comic crossovers only. I'd be a 100 times better than these crap job SWTFs

I have thought that Hasbro should do this too.  It makes a hell of a lot of sense, seeing as how both lines are owned by them.

The line should be Transformers characters as Joe and Cobra vehicles.

Well Titanium 6" Megs backstory invloves Cobra, so he may have gotten his mode from a regular Cobra tank.  As far as crossing the two lines it shouldn't be a problem since they already did with this figure.  Wants a GI Joe vehicle that transforms into a it own charater but comes with a Joe action fig as the driver.
