is it just me, or does the packaging not really mention "NEO" or "CLASSIC" as a distinguisher between lines? All it says is "Transformers Robots in Disguise". (it mentions "classic deluxe on the bottom, but that isn't really distinguishing the line)

They did that on purpose to make it relate more to G1. And to grab the attention of nostalgic fans who havent stayed up to date on all things transformers. It's amazing to me that people that work in stores go to ring up a TF and they go, "Whoa. There still making Transformers?!" Like they ever stopped.

they stopped making "Transformers" in 1991 kthx JMO

everything since (except BW) has been an attempt to cash in on past success.

and a wet turd would stand out from that boring-ass Cybertron packaging

this from someone who has the g2 megatron in his sig :tfgrin

it's still true though, G2 was an obvious cash grab on Hasbro's part... just an ill-advised one

Ill-advised indeed. Once I saw Black and neon Sideswipe and Starscream with his name on his wings, I was turned off quicker than your someone you have a crush on telling you she has an STD.

So...who do I have to kill for these to be released beyond the US?  Bumblebee looks excellent, his alt mode has a nice Critron/Renualt mix to it, the jet ski is an odd addition, but I'm sure I could find a use for that, maybe as an extra weapon for him.

Screamer looks, well, like he should have always looked from 1984 onwards.  Megs looks alright, would have to transform him a few times and play with him to really find out how good he is.  Astrotrain looks fine, I'll probably just have him in his shuttle mode since I find trains to be a little dull.

Would love to see some in package and product pictures of Op. Prime and Hot Rod though.  Those two and Bumblebee are the main selling point for me, Screamer will most likely be bought along with MP Screamer if I can manage that.

I agree about the packaging, it does seem a little flat compared to the nice Cybertron packaging.  Hope this time we'll get some decent bios and stats if they're released in Europe, instead of a small bit of text and the rest taken up by other languages.
