Maybe it's just me, but I've had a good look at that tank photo from the movie and I have never seen a tank that looks like that before, I'm sure it's either custom built of highly modified from a standard model. Does anyone know much about tanks?

 

I just get the distinct feeling that we are looking at the alt mode of one of the movie characters, probably megs. it looks very stylised compared to normal tanks and if it was supposed to just represent a us army tank wouldn't it look like something currently in service?

 

I know it's dumb to make assumptions but every time i look at it I can't believe that it's just supposed to be some human piloted tank.

 

I'm probably just stating something totally obvious now.

Are you sure? Because there's a ton of safety standards that SUV makers *don't* have to meet since they're classified as light trucks.

OT but: Yeah, there's no way ford lobbied anyone to make SUV's "cars".  Their are a ton of reasons why not:

Saftey requirements

Tariffs on imported of trucks (big reason the Big 3 still can compete)

Gas mileage messurements/requirements

 

Ford would probably like to classify the V8 mustang as a truck :-)

BTW the US government should carry out airstrikes against all Navigators and Escalades, it'd reduce gas prices by a dollar a gallon JMO
