If I'm right all 7 Pages of this thread have been full of  Megatron hate. I'm going to say right now that I like him. I like that he even still has a slightly more intricate transformation than the Autobots. I like the colors of the gun. He is truly a robot in disguise. I bet no one who isn't a TF fan will even know he's a Transformer. They did a good job of taking the line back with that fig.

No, it didn't start off that way, at least for me. I started off liking it, then I started to question the colors, and then someone pointed out that the fusion cannon was mounted to the BACK of his forearm, which propelled me all the way to what Madhammer has referred to as "ARRGH-VILLE".

I don't have a problem with the gun design itself, or even the orange...it's the absence of any other G1 Megs colors aside from the Gray/Silver.

 

I will also say that it's not a case of hating this figure. The figure is nice and I will definitely be buying him....it has more to do with the fact that Hasbro WILL NEVER GIVE US A G1 COLORED MEGATRON...and no Cybertron Galvatron doesn't count.

That's what makes it so annoying. Prime always gets his classic colors but Hasbro will never give Megatron his even if their lives depended on it. :fire

Best Megatron head sculpt EVER.  Maybe they'll do a "Galvatron" version in C-Galvatron's colors... or maybe not.
