the orignal dr. doom rocked IMHO.

I am part of the ones who liked the movie. FF is not an "incredible, awsome" movie, but it's a good movie. each carachter is well developped. The final fight scene could have been a little better, but I suupose they were short on SFX budget.

 

The images were good, and (unlike catwoman) you could always tell what was happening and understand the situation without the help of Captain Obvious (i.e. not excess of explanation).

 

And the Story managed to avoid the cheezyness excess, Wich was difficult because of the comic itself. If you found the FF movie cheezy, then go read the comics again. It's all about cheezyness and the movie managed to respect even that while staying in respectful limits.

 

Now, it's true Dr Doom could have been better, but all the other cast filled their role perfectly (yes I find Alba managed to do a good act, at least better than Hall Berry in Catwoman, and Hall was an actress to begin with). So 4 on 5 is not a bad result and I except the sequel to make a better Dr Doom.

 

You want a bad movie? Go see "Asound of thunder"! That's a real bad movie with real bad acting. Nolet me correct that don't watch" a sound of thunder", just burn any copy you will see. On the other side, "Fantastic Four" will let you with a good impression.

 

Ho yeah, and Woot for TF the Movie!

I wish TF movie was pushed ahead two weeks instead.

I was always puzzled as to why Dr Doom was not a foreign dictator in the movie, it seemed so odd to change that. I guess i should be glad that Galactus wasnt in it, god only knows what alterations they might have made to him

Yeah, I also think he will becom dictator in the sequel. That's sound like a logicalmove for the movie. After all, Doom was also a old collaborator of Richard in the comic, and that was in the movie. Exploring both the dictatatorship and old acquaintance would have been difficult for the movie.

I hope not, that would mean Galactus would be on the cards, still it could be worse-i had completely forgotten about the mole man. Hopefully the moviemakers will have forgotten him too.
