The MP-1 transforming trailer.  Getting it from Ebay. 

 

That's more than I paid for Magnus. 

 

I'm sure its worth it (unless they start turning up cheaper)

 

I mean I was going to just MAKE one, as good as or better than the non transforming version out there, probably for way less than what the best ones are going for.  But this thing is a total enlarged G1 version, and looks like it will work rather well. 

 

I am even considering hanging a new set of shelves just for the MP's. 

 

Making my own stickers, thanks but I'll save the $10 and be able to say YES I MADE THE STICKERS!!!  You'd think for $100+ it'd be on there. 

 

Anyone else have it, or don't want it?

there should be an ultra magnus trailer so MP Magnus can have his super mode. Or if people don't own him they can do it to Prime :tftongue  :tftongue

I finally got it in today.  WOW! 

 

I made sure my room made (ok Dad) called me at work to let me know when it came in.  And was rather excited to get that call yesterday. 

 

The box came, wrapped in layers of bubble wrap and paper, a lot bigger than I had expected and from China direct?  (Thought I ordered from Canada)

 

The corner was dented from the trip, but I had not expected it to be in a custom MP1- trailer box, nor did I expect the extras inside.

 

They threw in the sticker sheet, as well as a set of replacement stacks for the US Optimus. 

 

Quality is very good, solid plastic and everything seems to work ok. There are a few minor problems, but worth the wait. 

 

Good points

1. Its exactly the same look as the original version.  Far cry better than the simple Trailer conversion/repaint from this scale.  And thought there are some really good custom transforming trailers, this is exactly the same as the original, so you have to work hard to beat that. 

2. Rubber tires, chrome rims

3. Missile launchers fire, one needs some adjustments but they do work.

4. The launcher will push the big Roller out the back and away!

5. Stickers and accessories that came with it are really good quality, better than what I could have done with the scans I have and my printer at present by far.

6. MP1 Prime is HAPPY

 

Bad points

1. The pegs for the gas pump and nozzle are too big to fit in the holes along the sides.

2. The canopy for the pod does not open really well.  The hinge was not formed at the tip so it falls out of the track when I open it.  Could make some adjustments but NAW, leave well enough alone and keep it closed.

3. Closing it up can be tricky.  Have to carefully clip by clip get it to lock closed, and unlock in transforming.  Afraid of breaking it.

4. MP Magnus is jealous

 

Now all I need is a place to put up a shelf, and have the MP series as a center piece.  Oh, and to apply the stickers. 

Nah, you didn't lose your mind.  Sounds like you're pretty pleased with it which is the only thing that counts.  Congrats on the purchase!

You're not crazy. Now I wouldn't pay that much at this financial point in my life. If you can do it and get away with it, why not.

they make 2 one is fully transforming and one isnt and is thus cheaper are you sure you have the expensive fully transforming one?

 

IMO if i want a trailer ill wait for MP4
