Shockblast / Laserwave

Is it supposed to be like an orbital satelite? That's what it looks like to me, what with the odd shape and solar panels.

Also, does his gun arm have any articulation, or is it just a brick on a shoulder?

the arm gun is just a brick. There's no articulation except at the shoulder. I think it's a terrible design flaw. There should be some form of articulation there. Just an elbow joint, that's all i ask.

And the alt mode is supposed to be an orbital satellite, although, i think it looks like rubbish. I'm a big fan of Shockwave, but i think that this new figure does him no justice. :monkey

That's what its supposed to be :)

As for the Arm, yeah, like Signal Flare's arm except bigger...

Ill be getting this guy within three weeks so when I do Ill post a full review :)

So do I, but I think they were so hell-bent on adding some sort of electronic feature that they were more than willing to trade off giving him decent arms.

The more pics I see the more his tank mode the more it is starting to grow on me.

The satellite is kind of crappy and an elbow joint would have been nice.

When is he ever going to use the orbital Satlite mode. It would be cool to see, but I don't see him going to space just to use one mode. It wouldn't be cool to see him use it in low orbit, b/c that would not be...well, logical. If he uses that mode, it must be in space.

Yeah, lack of articulation in favor of crappy THX sound effects or cheap animatronics is a terrible trade off. Armada Prime is a steaming pile of evidence to support this. But wheres the love for that satellite mode? Looks a billion times better than that tank thing, and satellites aren't used enough. Death from Above! MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I agree, his satellite mode is his best, unless you make a gun mode for yourself! :)
