First ever kitbash- Fan character

Recommended Posts

Introducing: Heatwave!

While doing my first kitbash- a repaint of an over-sized Freny/Rumble knock-off into Frenzy, I took two toys apart and put all the blue parts into what would become Frenzy and the rest made up a rather nice colour scheme that I thought I'd keep. I added a few paint details and voila, my first ever fan character and joint-first kitbash!

(The Frenzy repaint is pretty awful. Needs a lot of work before I show it!)

All I need are some guns for this guy. He's bigger than the real cassettes.

EDIT: OK, why can't I attach any images? When I attach a pic and click "Submit Post", it just goes blank...

EDIT: OK, it's working now! Weird...

the image file size might be too big, it has to be less than 100 kb

And the tech spec...

Once a Decepticon, Heatwave switched sides when he saw the destruction

the Decepticon army brought to the geological features he loved to study.

A loner by nature, he often goes on long field studies to gather information

on the geology of a particular world. He is not as connected to Blaster as the

other tapes and doesn't feel the same bond with him as he did with Soundwave.

While he would rather be studying an interesting rock formation than engaging in

open warfare, he is a surprisingly formidable warrior. This is due in part to his

Decepticon training but also his temper. He is very quick to loose his cool and

when this happens, he melts whatever he is holding because of his unique

"Fire Fist" ability. Normally under his control, it tends to activate spontaneously

when he becomes agitated. He finds the  variety of geological features on Earth

fascinating and is particularly interested in Volcanoes. His hands and forearms can

become super-heated to point where he is able to melt his way through even the

toughest metal. As well as this, he is able to record and store vast amounts of data

and he has extensive knowledge of geology. His small stature means he is not very

strong. His "Fire Fist" ability requires physical contact with his enemy to be of any

use. This, combined with his hot temper, often puts him in danger.

Thanks! I thought it was cute! Although a little too pink...

that's pretty damn tight there buddy! cant wait to see the other one!

nice work man- the screen cap and the tech spec go a long way to make a even better connection with the character overall. Plus you wrote the tech spec in classic tech spec style.

'pike

hey, would you be interested in selling it? That would go well with my cassette collection.
