I don't care if Megatron is a tank. However, this particular Megatron is a gun and anyone who has a problem with that can now be driven to the point of insanity.  People should just let it go.

something like reissue SS tried to do (poorly) and what MP-Prime did awsomely!

That arm kibble on Optimus looks awful.  The rocket engines on Megatron's back aren't so hot, either.  I have a feeling the deluxes will be the real stars of this line.

1-Not all gunformers are dependant on a holder. Example: Shockwave.

2-I'm sure he won't lose HIMSELF.

3-Mass Shifting reminds us how much more advanced Transformer technology is to our own.

4-Not true from an advanced alien point of view. Human intelligence is narrow-minded and can't grasp many concepts foreign to them.

5-Shockwave could. I can't see why we couldn't make Neo Megatron have that ability too.

 

And... wouldn't the gun go "crunch" and "snap" instead of "squish"?(unless Megs was made of lard)

Megatron reminds me of those huge stupid go-bot 'guns' that had stickers for faces. I prefer him as a tank. Prime looks quite good, but those big hinged pieces on his arms detract from his overall look, and his gun looks like an art-deco plantain.
