Ain't It Cool interview with Michael Bay

Recommended Posts

Michael Bay knows how to give you, us, the fans, everything we've wanted out of a TF movie.

We've all (or many) have previously said we wanted to see "character development," and "story structure," and other film elements craved by adults graced upon our TF movie.

The reality is, I wanna see TF's smash each other, and people, and buildings, etc... and be visually awe inspiring and exciting while they do it.

Bay knows it, and that's what he's delivering.

I can't imagine any realistic reason to Starscream about the movie anymore, unless the studio starts stepping on his (and Stephen's) toes...

... and considering Spielberg is the studio...

The description of those pre-viz's gave me a huge fanboner.

Dude, the scene from my sig still gives me fan-wood.

The pre-vis talk gave me palpatations...

I can't believe humans are going to get PWNED KILL'D in the movie....

...assuming what was "reported" is true

Think Doc Ock scene from Spidy - there is no reason people cant get killed in a scary yet PG-13 way.

No kidding, you can have a sh*tload of violence in a PG-13 movie.

just don't use the word "f*ck" in a sexual context :roll

Visuals-wise certainly true. I did find it worrying there was not a single reference to the Transformers as characters, only as effects. However, the visuals sound so damn great I'll lap the movie up for that alone. I just hope there's a bit of personality for the 'bots too.

What are you talking? Why else would he have spent so much time explaining how they're going to get the robots to have "human" facial expressions?
