I bet that whole shoulder nonsense is meant to evoke the smokestacks of G1 Optimus Prime. 

 

 

I don't see how anyone who hates this mold can get excited about a BT version of it.  Aside from some die cast metal, and maybe some different paint, it's still the same robot mode.

and i am not buying the BT - but i will be buying a silver marker to do some detailling like what the BT appears to have.

Add "or if it's painted black and called something else" to that list.

I had no problem skipping Alt Prime, but now I am conflicted about BTA or whateverthehellitis Prime.

 

I will probably skip it b/c it makes no sense to Starscream and moan about a $20 toy that I don't like, only to turn around and spend $60 on the exact same toy I still don't like.

 

I was soooo a BT/BTA completist. Dammit.

 

Oh well, at least now I can expect a totally kickass BT Mirage. That one I will be pro-ordering asap.

I cant get excited to much. He has G1 eyes, that's cool I guess.

Yep, I just checked on Remy's gallery, and I do have to say, I at least like the yellow eyes more on the BT version than the blue of the Alt. That is something anyway.

 

EDIT: Oh and so this is Convoy instead of Ginrai then? I kinda liked the idea of making him Ginrai instead.

I'm going to get the alt version, but it's nice to know the BT option is still availible.
