but if you look closely, you'll see that takara "murdered" the toy by adding small cracks to him. look on the legs. they have cracks all over them.

20th: cheaper, character with the slight battle damage (love the apps around the knees to look like parts wear), black gun, cool little poster, cool packaging.

I agree with mr sooty; my ideal would be 20th with long stacks

i'm working on it :)

What poster? Mine doesn't have a poster! In fact I got two, because the first one had a missing bit so I had it replaced, but neither of them had a poster (both 20th Ann). Plus, both of mine had grey guns, not black, but I don't really care about that. :tflaugh

They both have the molded-in battle damage, cracks, and wear and tear. Only the Hasbro version has the scorch marks. Which is part of why I like the Hasbro version better, because it makes no sense to have him all scuffed up like that, yet at the same time, a pristine paint job.

The 20th anniversary prime with poster is only available at Wal-Mart. There should be a silver sticker on the front of the packaging saying exclusive poster inside!

Right. We don't have wal-mart in New Zealand. We have Woolworths, but they just sell groceries...and DVD players.

I don't really mind the grey gun. I think it's quite cool.

The only negative I can see with 20th is the stacks. I love the battle damage, it ads to it. I much prefer the Hasbro packaging too. You can see what you're getting, and he looks cool.

I like the guy who said if you kept the Takara one MISB for 20 years and then opened it, you might find you've just got a 3kg rubber chicken!

Yeah, where from, and how? How do you replace them once you get them?

Just got my 20th anniversary Prime. I'm one of those who really likes the battle damage (lends him more character, after all, Prime was always getting into scraps anyway), and the price was right. Yes, longer stacks would be nice, but I thought to myself, "what's the first thing that always got broken on a G1 Prime?". Yes, I'm older now, but the, erm, enthusiasm is still there. :)
