Mine is the day that Optimus Prime died. I never saw it coming and that image of him fading and his head flopping to the side is burned into my retinas.

What is your greatest memory about the transformers?

when i watched the BW episode "Agenda" for the first time and G1 Ravage shows up.

Optimus Prime on the Big Screen.

seeing autobots die in the movie. i.e. ironhide, ratchet, brawn, prowl.

finding G1 Fortress Maximus under my xmas tree in '87 ^_^

20-ish years later

I think my greatest memory would be the day that the series premiered. I remember my mom woke me up early on a Saturday and I was like "Mom, why are you getting me up this early?" She didn't say anything except that something was going to be on TV in a few minutes. I dragged myself out of bed and flopped down in front of the TV. Then I saw it and heard it:

:note Transformers! More than Meet the Eye! :note

In that instant, I was hooked. I remember later that my dad would make pancakes shaped like the Autobot logo or Bumblebee's head or something random like that. And thus began the 20-year hobby that I've embarked on.

well i have a tie..

Happy Memory - Hearing BW Ravage shout "Decepticons Forever" and transformer in classic style into his Tape form

Sad Memory - Code Of Hero...Dinobot dying was harder to watch then Primes death

When I was about 6 (which would be 1991), my babysitter borrowed some VHS tapes from her friend so I could watch season 3 & 4 of G1.  I believe I watched all of it in one sitting, although I don't remember it very well.  The only scene I really recall is the hate plague.

The next great memory was when I saw the first commericial for RiD.  Seeing Optimus as a vehicle again made my heart skip a beat.

I'm jealous of your parents.... my parents woke me up by dropping an ice-cube down my undies before giving me a G1 Brawn....

My best memory though was probably getting Targetmaster Hot Rod for the Christmas '87.... :tfgrin and also the worst as his back piece broke off in transforming him later that day :tfsad

When the series premiered, I remember watching the cartoon with My brother, and thinking this is going to be huge.  After that We were hooked.  We have been TF fans since that day.
